Fabian

Say hi to Fabian! He is 80lbs of certified doofball (in a totally endearing way!) He reminds us of a lanky teenager who hasn’t grown into his body yet, hehe. Daddy long legs here, is a stage 5 clinger, making sure you are within eyeshot at all times. He loves his toys, but isn’t overly hyper and a total couch potato when you’re sitting and relaxing. But be warned- he will insist putting his head on your lap and then falling into the most contented sleep you’ve ever seen, so you’ll be there awhile. Fabian had a pretty rough go of it before coming into rescue. He was tied to a chain for years and missed out on a lot of the social stuff. He has some mild anxiety, but his crate has become his safe space for calming, so crating him is a must. In fact, he chooses to sleep in it even with the door open. He has made incredible progress in foster and gets more confident every day. He needs exercise (those long legs need to move) so an active household would be best for him. He is an expert listener and is very easily trained. He respects whatever boundaries you set almost immediately. He is good with most dogs, but can be selective. He gets along great with his foster sister, but can get nervous around some dogs. He’s been through a lot and we know his forever family is out there to give him the life he deserves.
