My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

INDOOR ONLY HOMES PLEASE

Daffney & Daffodil were rescued in September 2022 from a Garden Grove location known for frequent rabbit dumping. They are two of 50 rabbits rescued at that location!

Daffney, the cinnamon rabbit, weighs 2.2 pounds as of 10-16-2022. Daffodil, the agouti, weighs 1.12 pounds as of 10-16-2022. They are smaller than they appear in pictures or videos so I give weights for reference. Their estimated dates of birth are August 15, 2022.

They are EXTREMELY social, curious, attention-seeking rabbits! No shyness here! Amazing considering their rough start in life being dumped at an outdoor pond! Easy to hold and handle! SUPER snuggly! Cute as can be! Hoping to get them into a real home before the holidays! These two are some of the sweetest, friendliest rabbits I've encountered! Real LOVE BUGS!

They are available on a foster-to-adopt basis until their spay surgeries in January/February 2023. You would bring them back to the rescue the day before their surgery so they can be transported to their appointments. They can recover at the rescue for a night or two. After the spay, the adoption is finalized.

Daffney & Daffodil should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. They can have that as their home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Daffney & Daffodil can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. Delivery available to the greater SoCal area. Any donations in excess of the adoption fee are appreciated to keep the rescue afloat.

PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!
