My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty is the first to try things, and check out what the noise is, but foster mom or dad helps by being nearby. His day is to play hard, then sleep. He does like to lay on the sofa by his people. Foster mom and dad think he is "so cute" and tell him ALL the time. They work with him on potty training, although it is hard to go outside in the cold, but he will go out when they say "go outside potty" to him. He likes their doggy door and uses it to go out and play with his brother and try sharing his toys with him.. He has learned how to get along with the dogs in the house. He loves their granddaughters when they come and loves it when they play and talk to him. Check out those cute ears!!

Potential adopters will be required to fill out an initial questionnaire and to answer follow up questions. Veterinary references will be checked as well as home checks as necessary. We do not transport our pets to adopters. We like to have our adopters meet our pets and for us to meet them and their families. Our goal it to match our pets with appropriate homes.

More about this rescue

Pets & People is a volunteer based organization that concentrates on rescuing dogs and cats from area municipal shelter"s "death row". All of these pets are tested for certain diseases, vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered, given preventative medication and sheltered until forever homes can be found. We primarily rescue from rural shelters in central Oklahoma but have been know to travel hours to rescue pets.
