Introducing (cue the drum roll and circus music) CJ the adorable 14 pound little guy with a big personality! He is not shy when you first meet him and will let you know that he is in charge. Once you pass his inspection he is affectionate and playful. Usually a treat wins him over, but for some he may need more time to trust. CJ guards his home and surroundings with a commanding bark. When looking out the window he’ll sometimes give whispered barks to let you know he’s always on duty. Either way he’s all about keeping his domain safe and secure. Nothing goes on without this spunky little dude’s knowledge.
You’ll know CJ is happy or excited when he stands on his hind legs, spins or leaps into the air. This is his routine at the suggestion of a walk or at meal time as you place his bowl on the floor.
When on a walk he is eager to chase squirrels. When near other dogs it is best to keep him close to you as he tends to challenge other dogs to let them know he is the boss no matter their size. He may just want to play with them, but a cautious introduction is always best when meeting new dog friends. His favorite pouch pal is a docile golden doodle named Bella. They play ball and chase each other and have a great time together!
CJ loves to play fetch and will bring you a ball or toy repeatedly. When he is not on watch or playing he loves to curl up next to you. He is very affectionate and gives kisses.
CJ is a chihuahua/terrier mix who needs a dog savvy owner that understands a small but mighty dog personality. Once he settles in your home you’ll really enjoy the antics of this fun little guy.
