Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meli (Greek word for honey) is a wonderful, sweet, energetic girl who I love very much, but cannot give her what she needs so I am trying to find her the best home possible. She is a 11 month old shepherd blend, adopted from the Helen Woodward Center 7 months ago (at 4 months) and weighs 46 pounds. She is smart, well-trained (house trained, knows all basic commands + some more complicated), sweet, loves to be outside (hiking/camping) and take naps (she's great on long road trips, too!). She struggles with first meeting other dogs, but after some barking has been able to play and be friends with all the other dogs we've spent extended periods of time with (labs, golden, german). She LOVES meeting new people! She also loves chasing leaves blowing in the wind/birds, but she is very strong so she needs active engagement, consistency and work from her owner to be happy. She's a shepherd so she is very vocal, protective and loyal - please contact me if interested in the sweetest Meli pup!
