Harvey is a 5-month old Mini Bernese Mountain Dog who currently weighs about 33 pounds. A Mini Bernese is a mix between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The average size full grown is 35-55 pounds, though they can be bigger. This breed is extremely affectionate and good-natured. Their sweet dispositions, calm natures, and willingness to play make them great family dogs!
He is one of eight siblings that came from a breeder. They are all super sweet, though a little timid. However, they are coming out of their shells very quickly with love and patience.
Harvey's foster shared "Harvey is a lover and has a lot of it to give. If you're looking for a true companion he will surely give you all of his. One of the things that I love most about him is that he can play and have the best of times but he is also able to shut it off and just chill. He did very well in the bath and has been very gentle with our 3 young kids (ages 2, 5, & 7). We've been patiently working with him to become more interested in his food and have been having the best luck hand feeding him. This has also been a great way to bond with him and gain his trust. He has no signs of any resource guarding and is very gentle when taking his food during these hand feeding sessions (from both adult hands, as well as, our 5 year old). He really is the best boy! My husband and I both agree that if we were looking to add a 3rd dog to our family we would be keeping Harvey with no hesitation!"
His minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
