Hello, my name is Petey! I am a 5 year old neutered male American Bulldog mix that weighs 80 Lbs. I was found off of Santa Fe Lane in Rockwall on 10/26/22 and never reclaimed. I am a fairly calm boy who knows basic commands. I am great with people of all shapes and sizes. I love being a couch potato. I would do best in a home as an only pet. I have been diagnosed with chronic dry eye that requires someone to apply lubricating eye drops to my eyes twice a day, but I am a very good boy when getting my meds. It was recently diagnosed and due to my condition going untreated for so long, I've developed some scar tissue over my eyes. I can see just not 100% but it has no impact on my quality of life. The eye drops help tremendously and are very affordable. A side from the daily eye drops no other long term medical treatment for my eyes are necessary. I have been searching for my furever home for 401 days as of 12/01/23 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies and basic boosters. and, as of 11/06/2023, I am officially heartworm negative!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
