My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mose is a 1 ½ year old Basset Hound/Cattle Dog mix with a natural bobtail, up to date with vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and weighs just over 30lbs. He currently lives with another dog, a cat, and three young children (10, 7, and 5) who he is fabulous with (slightly jumpy but calms quickly). He likes to chase the cat but all in play with no aggression whatsoever, just a lot of sniffing. He would do wonderful with another dog as he is buddies with the other dog in the home and got along well with new dogs when boarded recently.

He is playful and active yet very sweet natured and likes to cuddle any chance he gets. He has had some training and knows, sit, stay, come, and walks well on a leash.

For having short little legs he can manage to climb a 4’ fence so a 6’ fence would be recommended. Where he will need a little work is with his housebreaking. Due to the family dynamic this has not been a priority, so the effort was just not there to accomplish this. We do not need any judgment, just a home that can work with him on this and we all believe that given the proper amount of consistency and training he will master this in a very short period of time, especially given how treat motivated he is!

He is still in his current home so if you are interested in adopting and have any questions please reach out to Travis, travisd8494@gmail.com, 973-440-7289.
