My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buddy! This sweet 4 year old boy was found starving and dying outside of La Paz, BCS, Mexico in May of 2022. When our team saw the photos of Buddy hanging his head begging for someone to see him and help him outside of a gas station we knew we had to act fast. Luckily he was easy to catch and was bribed with food to get into our volunteers car. Buddy was quickly rushed to the vet where he spent the next two weeks getting special care and baths. Now it's fall 2022 and Buddy is 100% healed and healthy, he does have a HUGE food obsession but is not aggressive at all if humans grab his bowl or bones. His obsession is more like stealing your taco you just left on the counter or garbage surfing if the lid is left off. Buddy is house and crate trained at his current fosters house. At his fosters house he hangs out with mostly smaller dogs, female dogs, and non dominant male dogs. We are recommending a family with older children as Buddy can sometimes get excited and jump on his hoomans. His foster has watched him change since May of this year and is so proud of his new skills and how he can still love hoomans so much even though he suffered for so many years on the streets.
Buddy is a healthy and friendly pitbull mix and he is ready to travel north whenever he has a family or foster. We do offer foster-to-adopt options as well!
Buddy's adoption fee for Oregon, Washington, or California is $450USD.This helps us cover most of his vet and care costs incurred in Mexico, and the transport fee to bring our pups over 1,500 miles to the PNW. All our dogs come spay or neutered, with all theirs shots for the year, and have had multiple blood tests done prior to entering the USA from Mexico.
