Sam (affectionately called Sammy) is a 6 weeks (as of 10/27/22) old Chihuahua mix puppy. He was found stray and taken to the shelter at just 4 weeks of age. It’s dangerous for such young puppies to be in the shelter, so his foster mom brought him into the Legacy Humane fold! Sammy loves to be played with, enjoys belly rubs, and is very social. He loves crinkly toys and squeaky toys. He likes to snuggle with his foster mom in the evening on the couch. Puppies at this age will require patience and training to become the best pup they can be. Sammy is working on potty training and, given a potty schedule, he does very well for his young age. He does well with other dogs and cats. He responds well to corrections from dogs and cats and curtails his behavior accordingly. Due to his small size, young children are not recommended.
Sam can be pre-adopted at 6 weeks of age and will be available to go home 11/5/22.
Current weight 4 lbs
