Cosmo is a male 5 year old pittie looking for his forever family!! Cosmo is a well-mannered boy and sits so nicely to meet new people! He loves to sniff and explore but, oh boy, belly rubs are at the top of his favorites list, he loves them the most! Cosmo loves treats and takes them gently. He knows how to sit, shake, lay down, touch, and is learning to heel. He will politely sit at the door waiting to be let in or out. He’s comfortable in a crate during the day and he sleeps in his crate at night (though he thinks he should sleep in the bed with you) Cosmo is fully potty trained and will learn any new trick with treats and time.

Cosmo is an easygoing fellow that would love nothing more than a soft bed and endless snuggles. Cosmo does best with dogs his own size and slow, calm introductions. Cosmo needs a home with older considerate children, smaller children with high energy levels can overstimulate him. If you are looking for a walking buddy that also loves snuggling up to binge watch Netflix, Cosmo is your man.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
