My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dakota fka Niya - Littermates were Nash, Ned and Nolan was adopted as a 3 month old puppy and lived in a home for almost 2 years. Dakota was surrendered back to the shelter by the owner on 02/06/21 after she and his other female dog began to not like one another! Dakota has been doing very well, is the smartest of dogs, and is playing very well with Thomas and Mister! Dakota loves to run off leash, listens very very well and is great on a leash! "Kota", as we call her, loves to be petted and loves the attention that she gets from us! Great Dog!

More about this shelter

Wynne Friends of Animals came into existence when it learned that the City of Wynne was euthanizing over 800 dogs per year. The city pound was just a dumping place with horrible conditions. Funds were raised and money borrowed to build a new animal shelter which is solely run by donations, grants, etc. Since the opening of this shelter, we have decreased the euthanasia rate by 75 percent. We do it to help God's creatures and for the love of the animals. Our website and our Facebook page have testimonials, additional information, our list of adoptable dogs and more.
