Hi I'm Cotton! I came up from Mississippi with my brothers and sisters when we were younger. We were puppies and all needed work on manners for sure. Since then we have worked on our behaviors and everyone has found a home except me. What gives? I'm more mature now and respectful, although I'm still sort of a goofball.

Cotton is great dog who has come a long way. He is a little bigger boy with an almost pure white coat with a few spot trickles. He knows a few tricks and is treat motivated. Does well with other dogs.

We also have adoptable cats at PetSmart stores in Delavan and Sun Prairie. Our volunteers and animals can be found throughout the community at local events.

Lakeland Animal Shelter is centrally located three miles south of Elkhorn, WI. on highway 67, and it is the only animal shelter in Walworth County. Its doors are open to the public six days a week except on legal holidays. The shelter is staffed by dedicated and trained employees. Volunteers also play a crucial role in meeting many of the shelter's special care needs.

Provide temporary care for stray, abandoned and unwanted animals.
Own and operate a rescue vehicle to pick up stray pets from municipal holding areas and private citizens.
Respond to injured animal emergencies 24 hours a day.
Employ a humane Officer to investigate cruelty and abuse complaints.
Maintain records on lost and found pets
Have available humane live traps for animals requiring capture.
Seek good homes for pet adoptions.
Provide a resource library.
