My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you'd like to meet Lake please read his full profile. Once you've done that and would like to move forward, we ask that you then visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and schedule an on-site appointment. www.ggohinc.com

Lake was a stray wandering the streets of Lakeville, MN. Those keeping an eye on him noticed that he had a slight head tilt and were concerned he may need some medical attention so, to GGOH he went. Turns out, Lake has what is known as Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). CH is a condition where the portion of the brain that controls mobility doesn't develop fully - no other functions are impacted and it is not a condition that affects his life-span. His case is very mild and his mobility is really not affected by it too much. He occasionally will lose his balance, but otherwise he does all things a cat should, and would, do.

Lake is a shy fella and it has taken him some time to adjust to his new surroundings - but in all honesty, not much more than most strays as they are often on their own for so long that they don't understand that us humans are not here to harm them. Lake does allow petting and if you listen to his cue's, he will tell you when it's okay to touch and play. He's still learning, but we foresee a fabulous future for him as we've seen this before - it just takes patience, love, and time. If you have the time to earn Lake's trust, you will be greatly rewarded! UPDATE: Lake has really started to come around and now approaches for attention. He allows full petting and quite enjoys it. We urge you to come in and meet him - you will be pleasantly surprised at just how sweet this fella is.

Lake does have a fuller medium-haired coat - and it's gorgeous! He will need regular brushing to keep it tangle-free. And while we're at it, we must mention his eyebrows - oh those eyebrows - can you see how magnificent they are? Wait until you see them in person!

Lake has an approx. DOB of 7/30/2019.
