My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 6 months as of 9/7

Size: 40 lbs

Estimated breed: Pit bull terrier/Mountain cur mix

Update from my foster 8/29: She's a silly, playful dream of a girl! She's working hard at listening and walking on a leash, and we're doing our best to be consistent with her training. She's fast on her toes and will make an excellent running buddy, and she loves exploring on hikes. We recently returned from a mini road trip, and she snored the entire 3-hour drive she was buckled into the back seat. While she continues to enjoy wrestling and chasing her foster dog sister, Betty has begun choosing to play independently, too, which means we're moving through the "puppy play" phase into young dog territory. She still seeks us out for pets, scratches, and snuggles.

Update from my foster homes 7/21: Betty Spaghetti makes us laugh with her sweet, wiggly goofiness! She's doing well with house-training, and she continues to be a champion in her crate overnight. We took her to visit with a trainer to begin structured on-leash work - gotta stretch those long legs and keep her exercised! She's smart and curious, and she'll do anything for a treat which means she's excited to learn and train. Her new favorite thing is to curl up in our laps for a short snooze - just enough to fill the energy tank for more play!

Update from my foster 6/25: We are so happy to be fostering Betty Spaghetti! She's very curious, playful, and she enjoys climbing onto our laps for a good snuggle. Betty hasn't met a toy she didn't love, and she plays hard with her foster dog-sister. She's a champion in her crate and we're working on house training. She's food motivated which means "sit" and "down" are coming along, and as the weather cooperates we're working on good leash manners. She's spunky and sassy, and a very good girl.

Betty Spaghetti found herself all alone at a rural shelter in Alabama at only 12 weeks old. The shelter is no place for a puppy to grow up, so we committed to bringing her to Maryland to find her forever home!

Betty Spaghetti is around 3 months old and 20 lbs. At our best guess, she is some kind of pit bull terrier/mountain cur mix, but we can never know for sure! She is a super spunky and playful puppy who loves to play super hard before napping hard. Betty Spaghetti would benefit from an adopter committed to lots of training and exercise to ensure she grows into the best girl she can be.
