Meet Ozzie, one of our newest arrivals at the Mikey & Me Foster Care kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Ozzie, our handsome, 1-2 year old Black Lab Mix weighs 52 pounds, he has a shiny black coat, and he’s a friendly, happy dog. Ozzie has interacted very nicely with the other dogs we’ve introduced him to and he walks nicely on leash. Ozzie is fully vetted, he was neutered on 10/13, and he tested negative for Heart worm disease. He will be microchipped for his safety on 11/11 and he’s currently on HW prevention and monthly flea & tick meds. Ozzie was apparently found in some field, behind a farmer’s barn with his two siblings. He started to thrive once he was separated from the other dogs and he’s done really well meeting all of our volunteers that walk and engage with him. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
