Sugar is only about 6 months old, but she has had a rough start. Her previous owner declared that he "didn't like the dog" and he treated her badly. When we rescued her, she was very afraid. She is making progress with loving care, but she has a way to go. She is shy and retiring. She has no hostility, but acts very scared. She does allow her foster family to pet her head. She is not comfortable with a leash right now. But she is making a lot of progress and we feel certain that as long as she continues to be treated kindly, she will blossom. She does love to be around other dogs.
