Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE NOTE: This is a Courtesy Listing. ARRF does not know this dog. Please see the contact information at the end of Polar's write-up.
Polar is an all-white Lab/Husky mix who is two years old. He currently weighs 50 lbs. but because he was taken in as a stray and was severely emaciated, he may eventually top out at around 60 lbs.
He followed a family and their three dogs home. He needed major surgery, and the family took him in, paid for his surgery, ensured he was neutered and updated with all vaccinations, and fostered him. However, the dad is about to be deployed overseas. Family members will care for their three dogs but don't feel they can keep Polar. He has recently been with a family who considered adopting him, but the family decided against it, hence the rush to find a new foster or forever home before deployment.
Polar is a gentle giant who is curious about the world. He has energy and enjoys playing but sleeps soundly and likes to cuddle and snuggle at night. He is a friendly fellow and gets along very well with other dogs. He is good with people and kids. This dog likes going out to eat! His current favorite restaurant is Stone Brewing at Liberty Station. He is also a fan of road trips and enjoys being outdoors.
Polar is currently fostered in the San Ysidro area of San Diego, but if you want to meet him, Jeff, his foster, will meet you wherever it is convenient for you. There is a rehoming fee, and medical records will be provided to his new adopter. To meet Polar, contact Jeff at Jeffrey.Hanley@gmail.com or call or text (484) 459-8165.
