My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Forest
German Shepherd Mix
Male

66 lbs.

Hi, I’m Forest, a sweet, affectionate pup looking for my forever home! I have lots of love to give and I can’t wait to give so much amazing companionship to an amazing family!

My PawsCo foster family is the best and I enjoy hanging out with all of them! Especially the older kids in my foster home-we are just best buds. I’m a big, bouncing boy with lots of energy, and I love having human buddies to play with. I love to play fetch and I adore my toys. My favorite is the big red Kong and any ball I can chase. I’d do great in an active home where I can get daily exercise (I’d be an awesome jogging or hiking buddy!)

While I adore the humans in my foster home, I’m not adjusting well to the other dog in my foster home so due to that, I may do my best as the only dog in my forever home. I tend to ignore other dogs on our walks and I did well meeting dogs at the shelter I was originally at but I just am not enjoying sharing my space with another dog friend. I need a family who is comfortable just having one dog or is willing to work with me to see what type of dog friends I do best with (this is best done alongside a positive reinforcement trainer!).

You should also know…I’m a smarty-pants! I am so eager to learn and I catch onto new training quickly! I already know the basics–sit, down, shake, and I almost know stay. I sleep in my crate and sometimes like to hang out in there and I’m also potty trained! I’m a wonderful house guest and I can’t wait to show off my fancy skills to an awesome family.
