My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

FIV Positive

This boy is a looker! And he's got the swagger to match! Tuna seems to think he rules the adoption center and is happiest when he has space to roam the lobby and watch over the volunteers to make sure they're providing the best care for the kitties. He's been a little particular about his cat friends and would probably do best in a home with no other cats . He would do well with dogs and older children.

Tuna is FIV+, which basically just means he has a weakened immune system. FIV is generally passed from cat to cat from deep bite wounds and bodily fluids. (We see it most often in unaltered males who have been living outdoors.) Cats with FIV may be more susceptible to things like upper respiratory infections and should be taken to the vet quickly at any signs of illness as they may have a harder time fighting that off.

Tuna's adoption fee is $100. This covers his neuter, current vaccination, FeLV/FIV test and microchip. If you are interested in meeting Tuna please fill out an application on our website at www.adopthope.org. You must have a pre-approved application and an appointment set up to meet Tuna.
