My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This gorgeous has had a sad beginning to her life. She was kept outside for most of her first two years. Then her owners moved and decided they didn't want to bring her along. She had outworn her welcome at the shelter, not because of any fault of her own, but because they were out of room. We saved her life at the 11th hour, and we are so glad we did! She's a sweetheart!

Redds is almost 2 ½ years old and is full of energy and has lots of love to give. She has been in her foster home for about a week now and she is getting used to being more of an inside dog. When she first arrived, when you let her out to potty she had trouble understanding that she needed to come back in. She is now going outside and coming back in on her own without much coaxing.

Redds does well with other dogs, both big and small; however due to her high prey drive she can only be adopted to a home with no small animals (cats, ferrets, bunnies, etc.).

Since she was an outside dog for most of her life she isn’t completely housebroken and her foster mom is working on that with her. Her foster mom tells us that she has done very well, and that she has only had 2 accidents in the house. She is being let out very frequently and she does respond when you walk to the door and ask her if she wants to go out. Her training will need to continue in her new home.

Redds is a very sweet and loveable dog. She loves to give kisses and likes to lay at your feet when your sitting on the couch watching TV. Since she is only 2 years old she also has lots of energy and likes to run around when she is outside, so a house with a fenced yard is necessary. She is a great dog that needs a wonderful, loving, and patient home to call her own.

***NOTE*** You will need a fenced in yard and previous husky experience to adopt Redds.
