An adoption application must be filled out and approved to adopt.

Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- We always suggest meeting various pets at our facility to get a better idea of what you are looking for, or who might be looking for you!
- Submit Application
- Once you have interest in a pet, fill out an application. This can be done online before your visit if you are traveling a distance away.
- Interview
- We review your application once we receive it, and discuss with you what you are looking for and what works with your lifestyle.
- Approve Application
- Your approved! Yay!
- Sign Adoption Contract
- The adoption paperwork is printed and discussed. The adoption agreement is explained to you and signed by both parties.
- Pay Fee
- Fees for dogs vary from $50-$225. The average fee is $115.
Cats under a year old are $50-$75, and over a year old are typically free.
- Take the Pet Home
- Congratulations on your new family addition!

At Caring Hands Humane Society we believe all animals deserve to be treated with dignity and respect during all stages of life. We always strive to provide the best possible care to the animals entrusted to us and to educate others about the benefits of strengthening the bond between humans and companion animals.
At Caring Hands Humane Society we are dedicated to finding a home for every animal entrusted to us. We reached the goal of being a “no kill community” during 2016 & 2017, and we are committed to keeping that status every year from here out.
