My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Mosaic is a lovely, calico with beautiful markings and a soft thick coat. She's almost completely blind, but it doesn't slow her down one bit - she can still see some light and shapes and she is able to navigate her foster room (up chairs, into higher areas like dressers) and even find the toys sprinkled everywhere for her! She will need a home that is willing to take precautions to make sure she has no high fall risks. Her vision impairment and inexperience with people can make her a bit nervous in new situations - but for what she lacks in that department, she makes up for in love. Mosaic has been found more and more often waiting at the door throughout the day for one of her foster moms to come give her company. If we take too long, Mosaic will sit by the door and let out these little kitten meows. She will take getting loved on FOREVER. Her current running streak is about 45 minutes of purring, getting pets, and rolling on the floor making little paw biscuits in the air or while standing and slow blinking at you. She is very polite about letting her people know when she's had enough pets.

Once she has had her fill of love, her next favorite thing to so is play with her black and white toy wand that has a bell. The majority of the time, she uses her hearing to locate her toys. With ample space she does get up to a quick sprint! If you leave her favourite black and white toy still, she has been able to kind of "find it" since it's dark against the ground - but if not, she meows to let you know she can't find it. Her absolute favorite toy  is the squeaking mouse. She plays with that throughout day and night (much to the chagrin of her foster family!). Mosaic is still getting used to her foster parents standing up and moving around the room as well as petting her with both hands to acclimate her to being picked up. She is completely comfortable being talked to, played with, and loved on when people are sitting down and moving slowly. In the first 2 weeks of being in a foster home, she has completely blossomed and makes huge strides in her confidence every week. Mosaic's biggest challenge is being confident around people, but once she's in a comfortable environment she is very happy to come out for attention! We are still working on her confidence before introducing her to the other cats in the house. Give this sweet girl a chance to be your loyal and loving companion!
