My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddha is a goofy girl that enjoys spending lots of time investigating the rooms around her. She thinks people are wonderful, especially when they are willing to give her the occasional pet or brushing session. This big girl enjoys being brushed occasionally with soft silicone brushes, and would love any assistance to help keep her groomed in the places that are hard for her to reach. Buddha thinks catnip is neat and may enjoy having some toys filled with it to play with. Buddha would be a great fit for most homes without other cats.

Additional adoption info

Our website, IndyHumane.org, is updated daily with pets who are available for adoption. Third-party sites, such as Adopt-a-Pet and others, are not accurate or reliable sources of information about our shelter pets. Please visit IndyHumane.org for more information and to check the status of a particular pet.
Each adoptable cat and dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Our adoption counselors are happy to share their behavioral and medical background with you during the application process!
We are a non-profit shelter with limited staff. Answers to common questions can be found at IndyHumane.org!

Go meet their pets

You can find up-to-date information on all of our available pets by visiting IndyHumane.org/Cats or IndyHumane.org/Dogs. Adopt-a-Pet is a third party site and not a source of reliable, updated information.

Our website is updated throughout each day, so if you see a pet on there that you are interested in, as long as their photo is on the website it means they are still available. Each profile will have a link for their online application. Please fill out an application for the pet you'd like to meet and a member of our team will contact you within 24-48 hours for more info and to schedule an intro. Thanks!
