My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Note: Currently, Yongsam is in foster care in Toronto. 

Yongsam was one of the 15 dogs who were rescued from the Yongin dog meat restaurant in Spring 2021. They were kept in crowded small wire cages waiting to be handpicked for slaughter.

Yongsam lived at our partner boarding house with the other dogs. Yongsam is good with other dogs: he is friendly and playful. When it comes to people, Yongsam is very affectionate and sweet. Indeed, his favorite thing is to hangout with his humans.

When Yongsam was rescued, instead of hiding at the back of the cage he would come up and stick his nose out to humans for attention and pets. He was very obedient during his first bath and grooming as well. At the boarding house, he enjoys the company of staff and volunteers, and is always looking for company and pets. He is a very friendly, outgoing, and affectionate boy who will make an amazing companion to a very lucky family.
