We must have an application to move forward.

In foster in Olympia, WA

PLUTO is a 3yo male Shepherd mix...tall and lanky...agile. DOB 10/25/19. He is calm and confident. He gets along with most dogs...he does sometimes have an opinion about another dog but with proper introductions all goes well. When he was still in TX, he is in a "pack" of 10 dogs and gets along famously. (See the YouTube video.) He does like to play and run. He will do well with children and an active family or individual. He learned quickly that my 5 cats belong in the house and I trust him about 90% of the time with the cats. He is house trained. He also likes sleeping on my bed so he does know how to enjoy the comforts of a house. He is good in the crate... doesn't make a fuss. We are working on his leash training...still pulls too much.

He is an agile dog so very possibly will need a 6 foot privacy fence. We likely wont require a fence, just saying we doubt he could be contained with any shorter fencing and/or a fence that he could climb.

Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.

All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.

HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/

This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.
