Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ellie Mae is between 9 months to a year. She was a pup that grew up outside with no attention. She is heartworm positive,
loving to her humans, house trained, and leash trained. We originally placed her into foster where she was instantly exposed to an indoor life with 4 dogs, 2 cats and 3 children.
Unfortunately I believe this was an overload for her and according to the foster here is what happened and where she is now:
As she did well with the children she would chase the cats while outside yet seems to be fine with them while inside. While waiting to be let in at the back door, she ragdolled a small dog also waiting (so no small dogs). While outside she with the other large dog, she would run up to her in the attempt to dominate the other dog, the other dog never engaged and everything was fine. She's now at the facility in a single outdoor kennel. Because of her lack of exposure we believe she should be in a single dog family.
Sidenote, Ellie Mae is heartworm positive, but she’s being treated!

We only do meet and greets for approved applications.
Adoption fee is $275.00
All dogs will be Up-to-date on Shots, worming, Spayed/Neutered and Microchipped. We will also do random, periodic vet checks to ensure all dogs adopted from us continue to have the best care. We will check for any follow up visits needed and that they are on a monthly Heartworm Prevention.
If you rent or own a home, we prefer you to have a fenced in yard.
Apartment living is also ok but prefer a fenced in area if close to the road.
All adults in the home will need to know they are getting a dog and will need to sign the adoption agreement.
We do not adopt to college students with multiple roommates.
Military will need to provide a backup plan.
We require all pets in the home to be spay and/or neutered. Because too many dogs are being killed, due to there not being enough homes per dog in need. Only the lucky ones end up here.
