My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Opal is looking to find her forever family. While she isn't a fan of dogs we believe she could learn to live with a calm cat friendly k9 companion. Opal will climb on your lap for a snuggle then return to her favorite hiding spots. She is generally the first one to let you know it's time for breakfast. This sweet lady was returned to us by no fault of her own and we promised her she'd find her forever home this time. Don't let her grumpy cat face fool you. She is a happy girl!

Additional adoption info

We start with a phone interview to gather information to determine if initially it would be a good fit. We then have an application to be completed and in some circumstances a home visit.

More about this rescue

Paws for Life Utah is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that is dedicated to helping homeless dogs, cats and other "at risk" animals from municipal shelters find new, forever homes. We are a no-kill advocate, partnering with the Heber valley animal shelter, making them no-kill in 2013. Since then, we have expanded our reach throughout the state of Utah to rescue animals at risk. Our vision for the future is a "no kill" nation.
