My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Probably a man's cat, Big Guy is a curious fellow. He came off really sweet in the pound. Don't get me wrong, he's still sweet but I sure wish he could talk because we had a hard time figuring him out. We think we got it now. However, he has not done well at adoption events where people are all over, poking the cage and he will let us know when he has had enough. In the rescue's "Cat House", he is a lover, with an occasional love nip...so probably not for kids, please. So...who should adopt him??? Someone that understands real man cats!!! Or has a keen sense of respect for animals with boundaries. We are giving him a chance to shine at an event but dont be surprised if he lets us all know when he has had enough. He will also let you know if he likes you.

Go meet their pets

During the pandemic, online is how we must present our pets. You can request more photos and a meet and greet if we have a volunteer to transport. Normally we would be having our adoption events at PetCo or PetSmart.

More about this rescue

Piedmont Pound Paws (PPP) began as a group of volunteers working together to find loving/responsible adopters or licensed rescues for animals that were unfortunate enough to find themselves in the city of Piedmont, MO kill pound. Over time, homeless pets in extended areas, often including the MO counties of Wayne, Reynolds, Iron, Butler, Carter, & Bollinger, were also helped. Today, this continues while educating the community and helping to find resources for low income families to responsibly care for their pets.
