This helps Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue with pet care costs.
Say hello to this sweet senior Chihuahua, Eloise (b. 11/2010). This sweet girl needs a loving home that will understand she needs a home to live out the rest of her years. She loves attention and wants to be your lap dog. She is not fully potty trained but has been doing well with going out frequently and in doggy diapers. She will let you know when she has to potty with a bark and doing in circles. She is blind and deaf. We have noticed that she can possibly see shadows and hear loud noises close to her. She isn't a dog that barks a lot but she will bark when she wants attention, potty, or food. She likes to make friends. She likes other dogs, cats, and kids. She would do best in a home that is quieter and will allow her to enjoy the rest of her years without a lot going on around her. Can you provide her a furever home?
The suggested adoption donation for Eloise is $250. Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization which means that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2021 alone, we were able to provide animal Healthcare costing over $306,000 covered mainly through adoption fees.
If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter to take the pet to be altered at NHS free of charge. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The contract states the alter must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alter to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately after the procedure is complete. Thank you in advance for your compliance.
Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.
Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
