MEET BENTLEY…a real looker! This cream/tan, 17 lb, 3 yr old, Spitz/Pomeranian (we think?) — is a real sweetheart. He was really a little big for a Pom…and looks more like a Spitz. But, does it really matter? His story was not so great 🙁 ….but it gets better!

Bentley’s original owner was dumping him in the shelter this past summer when she ran into a kind woman in the parking lot and she asked her to please adopt him, which she did. Cut to five months later, she has found herself jobless and homeless and was forced to bring him back to the shelter…where she ran into me. The tears in her eyes, and Bentley’s story were so sad, I couldn’t say no, even though Bentley isn’t a typical LHH dog. So, his sad story took a turn for the better! An Angel friend of mine came to my rescue and said she would foster him…and Bentley didn’t have to go back into the shelter!

Bentley has a beautiful coat and smiling face and he immediately gave me kisses and has been an ideal foster. He seems to be potty trained, but no guarantees. He is very active/hyper and loves other dogs, so he definitely needs to have a companion canine. Bentley even understands a few commands and is very smart! He’s good with kids (over 8 please), people, men/women and ignores cats! We were told he is a runner, but we haven’t seen that from him. He just wants a home and a forever family to belong to … could that be with you?

Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Our event is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring pictures or video of your home and yard if we have not done a home check (preferred)! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
