Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Peter is a sweet 4 year old, 60 lb Yellow Lab mix that has been brushing up on all his doggie skills to ensure that he makes a stellar first impression. He is crate trained, house trained, and has excellent on/off leash manners. A perfect gentleman!
Peter is playful, and so eager to please his person. We think Peter would do best with a human who can continue his training; Peter would benefit from some confidence building, to help him be the best boy he can possibly be. He would do well with another low-energy dog in the home, or as an only dog. Peter has lots of energy to burn and would need someone willing to give him the daily activity he needs with a fenced yard....and if that yard is a farm on acres, that would be a bonus! Peter can be a little nervous around kids, so we feel a home with teens or no kids is best. Peter just needs someone willing to give him a chance to show you how bright his star can shine!
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
