Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Tater (as in tater tot) and I am an adolescent (5 month old) blue heeler pup. My foster mom describes me as sweet, snugly and eager to please! I adore people and love giving and receiving affection. I'm trying to learn to tone down my excitement and enthusiasm when I meet people. It's just that I was in the shelter for such a LONG time before Herding Haven rescued me (in fact, I was rescued on the very day that the shelter was going to euthanize me). I am very smart and food motivated. I will do anything for a treat which means I'm easy to train. My endurance and loyalty makes met the perfect adventure buddy-- I've got enough energy to tackle the trails during the day and snuggle down beside you in your sleeping bag at night under the stars. I'm still a mouthy puppy, so a home without small/young children is a must. Older (> 13 yr) dog savvy kids would be OK. I am house-broken, crate-trained, neutered and up-to-date on my vaccinations. Oh, and did I mention that my foster mom owns and operates Superhero dog Academy and she has offered a FREE 8 week training package to whoever adopts me (to ensure that I am set up for success in my new home). How can you pass that (or me) up? If you are interested in meeting me, please contact kathie@herdinghaven.org
