Sullivan's Story...
Hi my name is Sullivan but you can call me Sully. I’m not that formal! Actually I am told that I am a great young man who is well mannered but still quite playful. I’m a ready made companion as I already have good basic training and get along with everyone. I adapt quickly and easily to new situations, just ask my foster Mom and sister-I came from a pound and moved right into their house with ease. Bet I can fit into your house!

Please note: The description of breed, age & size when grown is an ESTIMATE only, based on a visual assessment by hart volunteers. Be sure to read the adoption guidelines and process in our shelter information. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to (or arrangements made after) adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sullivan, a Edmonton Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
