My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gemma has been confined to a cold concrete jail cell for over one year!! She deserves to get out of prison!
Gemma, and her buddy (a male American Staffordshire Terrier), were found wandering the streets and were taken in by a nice family for approximately one month. Unfortunately, their landlord would not allow the family to keep the dogs and they were relinquished to the shelter.
The family was very sad because they loved both dogs very much. They said that Gemma was friendly, gentle, and playful with her kids. Her favorite thing to do was get attention from the family and running around in the yard.
Sadly, Gemma has been stuck in an overcrowded shelter for over 1 hear but, amazingly, she has somehow managed to maintain her engaging and affectionate personality.
Gemma exhibits very good leash manners when walking outside of the shelter.
Her energy level is medium and she is smart and treat motivated.
As noted above, Gemma came in with another large dog but would be best suited as the only pet in the house.
