My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Muffin has been in a shelter for over 2 years. One year with a local rescue after being found as a stray, and one year here with us. She loves to play in the water. She loves stuffed animals, she loves to play on a spalsh pad, but she especially loves to be a couch potato. Muffin does have storm anxiety, she shuts down in a storm and hides herself under a blanket. Muffin must be the only pet in the home, no dogs or cats. She will do best in a fenced in yard as she pulls while on the leash.

More about this shelter

New Hope Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization servicing Volusia County Florida since 1955.
Our policy is no-kill. We will NOT euthanize an animal to make room or to reduce pet overpopulation. “adoptable” means an animal is healthy and well-adjusted, not ill or injured, and can be safely made available to the public for adoption. We reserve the right to refuse admission due to space availability, or if the animal is dangerous, in poor health, or otherwise deemed un-adoptable.
