Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Jake, a charming and well-mannered little guy with a big personality. Jake is selective about the dogs he plays with and prefers the company of smaller dogs his size. He's a sweet and affectionate pup who will thrive in a low-traffic home without young children. Jake may be a bit fearful of men at first, but with patience and love, he'll soon become the perfect addition to your family. This playful pup loves to romp around the yard and soak up all the attention from his people. If you're looking for a small and gentle companion to share your life with, Jake is the pup for you. Apply to adopt him today and give this sweet boy the forever home he deserves."
The adoption fee for all dogs includes spay/neuter, basic vaccination, parasite preventative, and a 24PetWatch Microchip. Our SoHumane adoption packet includes: Medical summary report for your newly adopted dog, coupons, and additional post-adoption information. Dog adoption fees vary, starting at $225.00
SoHumane is located at: 2910 Table Rock Road, Medford, OR. 97501 (541)779-3215 adoptions@sohumane.org 12 pm to 5 pm every Tuesday through Sunday.

Take the Pet Home
Pets that are spayed/neutered can go home same day. Pets not fixed will need to stay at SoHumane while they wait for surgery.
Additional adoption info
Depending on the needs of the pet, we may have specific home requirements to help the pet be successful in their new home. Adopters interested in adopting a dog and who have other dogs in the home will need to bring their dogs from home to meet which pup they are interested in.

More about this shelter
More than 95 years of lifesaving efforts invested into our community. SoHumane provides quality care for dogs and cats while working to make a difference in the pet overpopulation problem. Annually, SoHumane serves approximately 1,600 companion animals. In 2022 we successfully adopted out 1,275 animals, and saved 427 animals from euthanasia at other shelters through our Saving Train program.
SoHumane is a registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of companion animals. Mae Richardson founded the Humane Society of Jackson County in 1928 as an all-volunteer organization that initially provided services for displaced dogs and horses.
