BanBan was adopted from Taiwan, but his owner now is working overseas and couldn't take BanBan with him.
As North American breeds don't include some of the exotic lesser known dogs, we called him a labX terrier, but BanBan is actually a 6year old, 36 lb neutered male Formosan dog with a gorgeous glossy brindle coat and a tails that wags in circles like a propeller.

Ban Ban has been well socialized, so although he possesses the great Formosan qualities of loyalty, intelligence and adaptability, he does not have aggression towards strangers. That is a trait that is trained or brought on by poor early socializing of the breed.
He is a smiley, happy, quiet, mild mannered dog that peacefully spend time alone in the house or car, but is happiest with his owner whether its hanging at home, runs, rubs, motorcycle rides (in a backpack!) or just out and about getting attention from everyone. We call him "wigglebutt" as he is one of those dogs that wags his tail so hard that his whole body gets going!
He knows come, sit and paw, and is fully house trained. BanBan has good dog social skills and loves to happily romp and wrestle in a somewhat submissive role. He will stand up to a pushy, rude dog though.
He has a high prey drive, so needs to be in a home with no small pets, and kept supervised when off leash or he will seek out cats, mice, snakes etc.
He has quite a history of suffering in Taiwan before coming to Canada, and now is looking for someone to offer this deserving dog another chance at the good life?? He will definitely repay you with constant devotion and companionship.
