My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seven year old Nadia is a special girl, rescued from Roswell five and a half years ago, and obviously having been abused. Nadia was in a family with three female dogs but once the senior girl passed away, Nadia and the other resident female started to fight.

Nadia needs to be the only female in the household but she does get along with other dogs when away from home. She does well with older children and cats. She enjoys riding in the car and playing in water.

She is housebroken but freaks out when crated. Nadia has been through basic obedience training and does well on a leash. She is fine on the trail with other dogs and people. She is well behaved when out in public.

She sleeps on a dog bed on the floor next to her owners' bed. She is an inside dog and is fine in the house for 8 hours a day. Storms and fireworks upset her - she will pace around the bed all night or sleep in-between her owners. Nadia is a good, healthy girl. She is fine in the house with her people but is protective of her home, her people and her yard.

We are looking for a Doberman savvy family for Nadia. She will do best as an only dog or with a carefully selected male friend. She is a petite Doberman weighing in at 50 lbs.

A $200 adoption fee applies.
