My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jackson, an AmStaff/Australian Cattle Dog mix who is looking for his forever home. This sweet boy is a super happy dog who just wants love and attention from his humans. He is easy to walk and loves car rides, especially when they involve a trip to Starbucks for a pupachino!

Jackson has a good amount of energy, but he also knows how to calm down after a good walk. He has quickly become a Dogs Day Out Allstar and is noted as being very social. He enjoys spending time outside and would love a home with a yard where he can run and play. Jackson has also interacted with other dogs at the shelter, he can be a little picky about his dog friends.

Jackson is a very sweet boy who loves to be around his humans. He enjoys getting lots of love and affection, and he is always eager to please. Jackson would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of exercise, attention, and love.

Overall, Jackson is a wonderful dog who deserves a chance to find his forever home. With his love of car rides, walks, and attention from his humans, he is sure to bring lots of joy and happiness to any household. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Jackson might just be the perfect match for you.

Additional adoption info

We encourage everyone interested in adopting a new pet to come visit the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter to view the wonderful selection of cats, dogs and small animals we have available for adoption. When you see an animal you are interested in, come in as soon as possible as we are first come, first serve and are unable to place HOLDS on pets over the phone.

Speak to an Adoption Counselor at our Adoption Center regarding your interest to adopt and they will advise you of the Hold and Adoption process. All pets adopted from our facility are microchipped, spayed or neutered and vaccinated for Rabies prior to being released to the adopter. This is required by Texas State Law for any animal adopted from an animal shelter or rescue group. We do allow out of area adoptions as long as the selected pet is old enough to receive these services prior to being released to the adopter.
