Luna the love machine is looking for a new home.
Because she isn’t much of a love machine.
And she’s quite a diva.
She’s causing some drama in her current home with the other animal residents, so we’re hoping we can help her find a better match for her!
Gorgeous Miss Luna needs a home where she can climb into a lap on her terms, get petted just enough, then exit when she decides she’s had a good dose of human affection.
She’d probably prefer to be an only cat, no other pets, because, like we said, DIVA!
SUPER TREAT MOTIVATED! Luna loves her treats! She can be persuaded to do about anything for a treat!
HER BACKSTORY:
Miss Luna was such a frisky kitten, she was a bit much for someone who wanted a chilled-out cat, so she was adopted by her rescuer where she settled in and has been loved for the past five years.
For the past year, though, she has been causing a lot of drama in her home.
Her person has done her best to limit fights with the other pets, using calming treats, calming collars, calming diffusers, etc. Her loving caregiver has even had Luna tested at the vet various times to make sure she wasn’t sick or hurting, but nothing has ever been found. Her caregiver even tried anxiety meds from the vet as a last resort, but that didn’t help either.
Luna currently lives in the basement alone. All of the other cats are afraid of her and hide if Luna is let out.
Luna used to love the little dog in her home, but lately she wants him to sit perfectly still while she rubs on him and lies down. The little pup has to live on eggshells in case Luna decides he didn’t perform the ritual correctly.
So…. for the sake of harmony in the home and to find great happiness for Miss Luna, her owner has made the difficult decision to rehome her.
When it comes to humans Luna really wants to be a lap cat. Luna will want to lay on their lap, but she doesn’t necessarily like a lot of petting and rubbing. She will let you know that she’s had enough by either walking away or possibly trying to swat at your hand. Normally that doesn’t include nails unless you’ve really just pushed it too far.
Luna tends to hide when the house isn’t quiet. So don't count on her to hang out to socialize when your friends come over or when your rock band practices.
