My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Koala is 3 years old. She found herself in Rescue because her previous owner could no longer care for her. She gets looked over only because she is shy and takes time to trust and be comfortable with new people. We always seem to catch her in some silly poses!! She has been with HSBC since December 2022. She’s a very sweet girl who loves to be petted and loved on in her own time. She would flourish in a quiet, calmer home. She’s just waiting on that right person to give her that chance. You can meet Koala at our Adoption Center, 1607 Marquette Ave.

More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Bay County is a volunteer organization. Monthly board meetings are open to the public and held the third Thursday of every month at 1607 Marquette Ave, Bay City at 6:30 pm

The Humane Society of Bay County was formed in November 1984 by a group of concerned citizens who recognized a need within our community. Since that time, the organization has acted as the animal advocate in our community. Your support continues to be our inspiration as we look forward to a future of improved welfare for all animals.

The Humane Society is a separate entity from Bay County Animal Control; however, the Humane Society is an advocate for shelter adoptions, and was a source of significant funding for building the Bay County Animal Control facility.
