My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The name Leda means “happy” and this sweetheart sure fits that name perfectly. Leda excels at house cleaning as she is able to pick up any food that may fall on the floor, almost like your very own Roomba! How thoughtful is that? Ha!

Leda is an extremely sweet girl, with a shy allure. She looks to be mostly Labrador Retriever with a short golden coat and with the pleasing personality for which those breeds are renowned! She behaves with a maturity that belies her youth.

Leda is very alert to her surroundings, keeping a watchful yet calm eye on all the comings and goings. She keeps her opinions to herself, and does not engage in senseless barking despite all of the commotion around her at times.

Leda is easy to walk and generally gets along well with other large dogs. Leda is gorgeous with her stunning red-brown coat and her sleek figure. She is a fantastic pup who really just needs a loving home in order to gain her full confidence and express her inner and outer beauty. Anyone looking for a loving dog should meet lovely Leda!

Leda is being fostered near Ajijic, MX and can be adopted locally or to parts of the US and Canada.

More about this rescue

Bone Voyage is a non-profit rescue group created to send Mexican dogs north to better homes. We work with the local shelters and with people in the Lake Chapala area that have many street dogs in their care.

We also assist individuals that find street dogs and don’t know what to do with them. We are all volunteers working together to try to minimize the amount of homeless dogs in the area.
