Fern came to us as a very skittish girl unspayed and fearful. She had slight wounds on her from rubbing possibly. She had very little vetting done just the basics and needed to be spayed. She had to have emergency surgery to be spayed as she developed pyometra an infection of the uterous that can happen with unspayed female dogs.
When she arrived she began to have seizures. To help rule out metabolic causes she had bloodwork, exams and xrays, which all came back with no significant findings. So she was diagnosed with ideopathic epilepsy. She is on medication to control seizures which is working well.
Today, she is one happy girl, who loves to play, she loves her doggie friends and would love a home with a fenced yard that is secure for small dogs and prevent escape. She will walk on leash as well.
We are hopeful for her future and at just 5 years old we hope she will continue to become a social girl with her new family, that could include other dogs, cats and we suggest older kids that don't try to pick her up. She is still learning to trust you to do that. This delightful girl just deserves a chance at her best life.
