Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Opie was adopted from our local animal shelter about 3 years ago. He was extremely malnourished, had scars and cuts all over, and showed signs of a cherry eye. We took him home and began the long process of getting him accustomed to being in a house and getting him healthy. We believe his life before us was very traumatic and caused some long-term damage. We attempted to fix his cherry eye with surgery, but the damage to the cartilage under his eye was more extensive than just a cherry eye, and now must be cleaned daily to prevent infection. He is in a perpetual puppy stage of life and still has ample amounts of energy despite being about 4 years old. Opie has a lot of love to give and has never shown any sign of aggression toward us or our other pets.
We are moving out of state soon and unfortunately cannot bring Opie with us. We would love to find an experienced owner with enough room in their heart and home for a loving dog that doesn't understand quite how big he is.
