My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kelly's Mom is currently on Hospice and wishes to find him a loving home for when she passes. He is an 8 year old male Shih Tzu, neutered and up to date on veterinary care. Kelly enjoys visiting with other dogs during his walks and children. He loves to play ball and would benefit from a yard. He does enjoy chewing on leather, so shoes, belts and purses need to be put up where he's not tempted. He also sometimes has accidents when he gets excited. (who doesn't) Kelly's Mom would like his perspective new owner to visit with him a couple times to bond. She wishes to keep him until she is unable to care for him any longer. This is the time she needs him the most. Kelly is in St. Louis County, 63146.

Please consider opening your house to this special dog and give his owner peace of mind that he will be forever loved. Kelly is part of Mercy Hospice's Pet Peace of Mind program. If there is a need, we will help with food, grooming and veterinary care so our patients and their pets can remain together. If there is not a loving home available with family or friends we will help with that as well.
