My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 14 weeks as of 12/20

Size: 18 lbs as of 12/20

Estimated breed: Pit bull terrier/Labrador retriever mix

Twas the week before Christmas, and all alone on the streets of rural South Carolina, Peppermint is found. A tiny baby, wandering around in the cold, completely on his own and vulnerable. He was picked up by animal control and taken straight to the vet to address a serious of old wounds on his head. He also had discoloring on his neck, which was determined to be stained from wearing a metal chain. THIS IS NOT OKAY. No dogs belong chained outside, but certainly not a tiny baby.

Peppermint's wounds were monitored at the vet for a week before he was given a clean bill of health and okay'ed to travel north to us to start his new life in rescue. As of 12/20, Peppermint is 14 weeks old and weighs around 18 lbs. At best guess, he is some kind of pit bull terrier/Labrador retriever mix, but we can never say for sure without knowing who his parents are. Despite everything he's been through, Peppermint is the sweetest puppy who loves to give and receive love. He has done great with the other dogs and people he's met so far. We have not yet seen him around cats or kids. Like all puppies, Peppermint loves to play hard before napping hard. He can't wait to impress his forever family with his smarts in professional training!

We are so grateful to be able to show Peppermint the finer things in life after his humble beginnings. The best gift Peppermint could receive though, is a forever family of his own.
