Roxie is a doll! :) Her age is estimated to be around 8 years old. She is in good physical shape & a happy & bouncy girl. :)
Roxie is crate trained and wants back in as soon as she's finished her chores. She doesn't like the leash & tried to escape when I had one on her. So she requires a securely fenced yard.
She is a little shy of our dogs, so we haven't tried her with them so as not to have her upset...
Roxie is current on all shots, H/W tested Neg., Brucelosis tested Neg., spayed, and had a dental.
Her adoption fee is $350.

Recently we have had to treat a number of heartworm positive dogs and several did not survive the treatment. This has been very traumatic for our volunteers. As a result we DO require past proof of h/w tests & preventative given if you have owned a dog previously or presently own a dog. If we cannot reach your vet after 3 attempts, is will be up to the applicant to contact the vet and have them contact us.
Out of the Area? We will gladly do a "long distance" adoption, however we do not ship our dogs. We expect you to come and pick up your dog. As all our dogs are in foster homes in different places, that would mean you would need to travel to the foster home to pick up the dog (not necessarily in St Louis). We will not consider an adoption out of area without a vet and groomer reference.
We do not normally place dogs in homes with toddlers and babies. Rescued dogs often come from unknown backgrounds and we prefer to err on the side of caution. Please read the shelter home page for placement restrictions prior to submitting an application. Our group does have a policy of only placing dogs in homes where all pets are spayed or neutered.
