My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE MEET VIGGO !!

Viggo is a darling beagle mix, we arent sure if he is mixed, as he was abandoned with him mom and 6 siblings in a rental home when he was only 4 weeks old. He lived in a high kill pound untill we came and saved him. He was very scared and afraid to be away from his littermates and his mom, so we became his foster family. All of our foster dogs and cats have helped raise him and teach him to be the little sweetheart he has turned out to be today!

He has been well socilized in his foster home with kittens, cats , dogs, children even a pot bellied pig. He is learning manners and leash skills, as well as basic obedience. He is doing very well and is very smart. He is teething now - and we are guestimating him to be almost 5 months old now..maybe a bit less- he still has all his baby teeth. He loves to chew on nylabones , stuffed kongs and we get him HUGE rawhides too- so he gets to chew a lot on good things, keeping him from chewing on "bad" things. He is fully housetrained, but WILL do some "trash digging" a nice tight lid on the trash can in the home is a must.

He is very loveable, and loves to sleep in bed with anyone, from the kids to us. - when we are not home we do crate him, to keep him safe. he does not like the crate , but we only use it when we are not home and alway make sure he has his safe toys in there to keep him busy.

True to his hound instincts...he will ignore you if he is in the yard "hunting " some smell... this dog will require a fully fenced yard..no E fences ... no exceptions.

the good part is as a pack hound he will follow your other dogs ..so if you call them, he is sure to follow. he enjoys being part of a pack.. the more the better, he loves dogs & children and has tons of outdoors energy. We have taught him to behave well in the home with his toys, and no wild dog play in the house.

Beagles are adorable amd good pets, please read up on beagles to be sure this is the breed for your lifestyle.

Viggo is a pleasure to foster and he is training so well i think he MUST be a mixed breed, as he really is learning lessons well, and faster than I thought he would. and he is very quiet, which is very unusual for a beagle- I have only heard the "beagle bay" twice from him..when chasing squirrels. and he rarely barks at all.

Viggo will do best in a home with a friendly dog ( or a few friendly dogs) - and will not mind kittens or cats, he will thrive with children to play with him. Viggo's motto is "the MORE the merrier".

This is not a dog for apartment dwellers, he needs a nice yard to play in.

As all of our dogs here , we do not adopt to homes that keep dogs or cats outdoors all day or night, nor on chains or in kennels. If you do not want Viggo to live in your home as part of your family, please do not apply.

Viggo , is well mannered, playful and ready to bond with the right forever home. Can you make his dreams of his OWN family to love, come true?

Adoption fee....$225.00 with approved application.
the love you will get from him the rest of his life? PRICELESS.
