This is Chase, a 3 year old, 28Lb, neutered Shiba Inu/Terrier Mix. Chase was surrendered to Carson Animal Shelter due to owner moving. He spent 11 weeks in the shelter, confused, scared and was given a deadline to his life. Our rescue rushed and got him at the last min.
Look at that face!!! Chase is such a sweet love bug. He is very affectionate and adorable. He would sit or rest next to you for hours without making a sound. Chase is very quiet, not demanding. He loves laying around the house close to you. Chase can also be left alone without any problem. He rarely barks and doesn't whine. No separation issue at all. Chase has his playful side. He loves running in the yard, he is friendly and playful with dogs of any size. Chase is friendly with stranger (maybe a little shy for a couple of minute at first). Chase can be nervous and skittish in a new environment in the very beginning. He does acclimate quickly. Chase is very smart. He learns super quickly. He is the perfect size if you like larger dogs but in a compact package (he looks bigger in pictures). Chase is a low maintenance dog, he is not demanding, good with dogs/cats and very easy going. Great for a family, a retired person looking for a companion or a playmate for an existing family dog.
Coat: Medium length, so far Chase hasn't shed much. His shedding might be seasonal.
Training: Socialization and house manners. Knows sit, down, shake. Good on leash, gets excited when sees another dog but does not pull hard. Doesn't like shower/bath, but he tolerates it. Doesn't chew at all. Rarely Bark and doesn't whine.
Potty trained: Yes and he doesn't mark at all indoor!
Crate trained: Yes
History: Chase was surrendered to Carson Animal Shelter due to owner moving. The shelter environment was very scary and traumatic to Chase.
Health: Healthy, all update-to-date vaccinations, dental cleaned, flea/ticks and dewormed.
Dog friendly: Yes
